Importance of school life

How you define the importance of school life in your life!

Once an elderly senior said, look, in life, 9, 10, 11, 12 study hard for these four years, you will see that college and university life becomes very interesting for studies and the next life will be much easier, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you never require this much studies in college or university life! Always remember that the better you prepare yourself in your student life, the better you will progress in your future life. So, be attentive in your academic studies!

When I was young, I did not take into account the words of that elderly person, but today I understand how precious those words were!

So, I’d like to tell all the students that study is the only key in your life. I understand that in these years of life 9, 10, 11, and 12, you would like to do everything except for doing studies when study is believed to be the only foundation of a successful future and career of a person. Consequently, the more you follow this now, the less regret you will have in later life!

Life is all about the experience. Some of them are good, some bad, but at the end of the day, it's all experience. When we enter professional life after student life, the environment there is different. The work that will be given there is not like a class assignment that making mistakes will result in lower grades—the career equation is not that 'easy'. However, professional life can be easier if some experience is added during student life. There are five types of experience that can be mentioned thereof.

1) First, I’d like to talk about the research. Having some research experience is now quite essential. Part-time market research or joining a faculty member in his/her research program—any experience obtained from is helpful. As it will facilitate the path of higher education in the future, you will also be sure to be given a good eye on you by the boss in your professional life. Even if you want to become an entrepreneur, research experience will put you ahead. There are several organizations working for research, you can join them as a part-time researcher, or you can discuss with your teacher whether there is any research opportunity or not. You can also turn the assignments given in the classes into descriptive and unique ones by adding relevant research to them. You may save time by 'copying and pasting, but there is no comparison to the joy this short research will give you. Doing research does not mean serious work, it may be data collection or data entry, and by joining these activities, spending money can also be earned apart.

2) Secondly, I will say - writing experience. Writing is a great means of communication. So it is better to practice writing in student life. Good writing skills in Bengali or English, any language will put you ahead. Journals often invite writing on various topics. You can try publishing there, or just why in the magazine? Writing practice can also start with your Facebook post, when traveling somewhere, write a travel experience or write a review of a new product. You can also write in the annual periodicals published in schools, colleges, or universities. Writing experience will also help you in both your academic and professional life.

3) Another major part of communication is oral presentation. What's the harm in thinking of class presentations as opportunities to talk rather than calling them “another assignment” just dropped over? Beautiful articulation, diction, substance, and being able to present anything beautifully in a short time is a great quality—the sooner you understand it, the better you prepare yourself for the future. Participate in various 'Presentation Competitions' during your student life, whether or not you have a knack for debating, be a spectator. You will learn every different way to say the same thing in the presentation of the argument. Apart from this, 'present speech' or 'selected speech' competitions are organized in schools, colleges, or universities. Break the fear and participate. You will benefit in the end.

4) Team Management' is another great experience that you can practice during your student life. Yes, you may be comfortable working alone, but what's the harm in having teamwork experience under your belt? Can you say, what is the experience again? Teamwork and team management are two very different things. Presenting your speech in the group, getting the team members to work, and solving the group conflict, are learned with time. So get out of the mindset of let's see what happens when I start professional life. Start practicing teamwork and team management in student life. How can you adapt to a large group if you can't work with a small group? This experience can be gained by playing the role of a team leader one at a time in class assignments. Apart from that, even if you are involved with voluntary organizations, this experience can be easily added to your portfolio.

5) Any new software, be it research-based or something creative, this experience cannot be missed. For designing, Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Excel for research, SPSS or Endnote, or the ability to run Facebook pages will also be useful in the future. Most software now has a free version, so there's no room for excuses. And if you can buy the software and use it, it's even better. As student life can be passed with laughter, what is wrong with taking such experiences from time to time? By doing so, I hope that the thrill of student life will not decrease, but will increase.
